Community Sports Safety Outreach – Chino Health Family Day (03/28/2026)
At this event, Sports 2 Share (S2S) focused on ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) injury prevention, delivering interactive education to families on proper warm-up techniques and the importance of sports safety.
📊 Impact Highlights
• Reached 70+ community members
• Distributed 70 ACL injury prevention educational materials
• Collected 47 surveys (46 valid responses) to assess youth warm-up education
🔍 Key Findings
Despite most students having prior exposure to warm-up training, our data revealed clear gaps in effectiveness and confidence across different learning sources (coaches, schools, or others).
👉 This suggests that current sports safety education is inconsistent and can be improved.
💡 Why This Matters
Proper warm-up is one of the most effective ways to prevent ACL injuries, especially in youth athletes.
This initiative highlights the need for:
• More standardized training education
• Stronger coach + school alignment
• Increased access to injury prevention knowledge
🤝 Acknowledgement
Thank you to the City of Chino for providing a meaningful platform for youth-led community impact.
💙 Our Mission Moving Forward
